LegalLinks ("we", "us", "our") helps you protect your links behind a verification page and an optional password, and lets registered members earn a share of ad revenue from unique views. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. By using this website you agree to this policy.

1. Information we collect

Account information

When you register, WordPress stores your username, email address and an encrypted (hashed) password. You may also add profile details. We never see or store your password in readable form.

Links you protect

We store the URLs you submit, the optional title you enter, the date created, view counts and earnings for each protected link. If you set a password on a link, only a one-way hash of that password is stored, never the password itself. Files uploaded in "File Upload" mode are read once to extract links and are not kept on our server.

Visitor and traffic data

When someone opens a protected link we record that a view happened so that earnings can be calculated and fraud can be detected. For this we store:

• a salted, one-way hash of the visitor's IP address (we do not store the raw IP address in our database);
• the date of the view and the visitor's two-letter country code, used to apply the correct country rate;
• fraud signals such as bot-like browser identifiers, unusually fast repeated requests and same-link bursts.

Payment information

If you request a payout we collect the payment method (PayPal, Payoneer or Bank Transfer) and the account details you provide, only to send you your money and keep a payout history.

Security logs

We keep security events (for example failed sign-in attempts, too many password guesses on a link, and administrator actions such as suspending an account) to protect the service and its members.

2. How we use information

• To create and serve your protected links and enforce their passwords.
• To count unique views, calculate estimated and approved earnings, and process payouts.
• To detect and prevent fraud, bots, abuse and policy violations.
• To run your account, respond to requests and send important service messages.
• To improve the reliability and security of the website.

We do not sell your personal information.

3. Country detection

The visitor's country is normally detected from headers supplied by our hosting or CDN. If the site owner enables the optional lookup feature, the visitor's IP address is sent to a third-party geolocation service (ip-api.com) to obtain only the country code; the result is cached against the hashed IP for a short time and the raw IP is not saved by us.

4. Cookies and similar technologies

• Essential cookies: WordPress sign-in cookies and security tokens (nonces) that keep you signed in and protect forms from forgery.
• Temporary counters: short-lived records used to limit repeated requests and password attempts.
• Advertising: protected-link pages can show ads from third-party ad networks. Those networks may use their own cookies or identifiers to serve and measure ads, under their own privacy policies. You can limit ad personalization in your browser or through the ad network's opt-out tools.

5. Sharing of information

We share information only when needed: with hosting and infrastructure providers that run the site, with payment providers to send your payout, with ad networks to serve and reconcile ads, with authorities when the law requires it, or to protect our rights, members and visitors against fraud and abuse. Links you protect are, by design, accessible to anyone you share them with.

6. Links to other websites

Protected links point to sites we do not control. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those sites, so please read their policies.

7. Data retention

We keep account, link, earnings and payout records for as long as your account is active and as long as needed for accounting, dispute resolution and legal obligations. Hashed traffic records are kept to verify earnings and detect fraud. You can delete individual links from the Manage page at any time.

8. Your choices and rights

• See your account details and stats on your Profile page, and change your email or password through your WordPress account settings or by contacting us.
• Delete any of your protected links from the Manage page.
• Ask us to access, correct or delete your account and personal data by contacting us. Some records may be kept where the law or fraud prevention requires it.

9. Security

We use hashed passwords, signed tokens, request limits and access controls to protect data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please choose a strong, unique password.

10. Children

This service is not directed to children under 13, and members must be at least 18 (or the age of majority where they live) to earn money and request payouts. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will remove it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date shows the latest version. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
